This web site has been produced by my son Simon who has put in many hours of design and in my opinion produced a winner. David and I are very grateful to him and to his support for our tour.
Chris Brown MD of MCL Transport Consultants Ltd has kindly agreed to sponsor the Photo idea “Spot the Old Sods“. Members of the Public can support us by sending Photos of us to a web site. Chris will then donate to our cause dependant on the number received. So folks click away for a good cause. The route will be split into five and Chris will inform us of the results at the end of each section.Chris has also said he would contact other bus companies to ask if they might be able to help us in some way on our tour. Chris’s company does a lot of work in connection with bus passes and in my discussions with him,I found the whole subject fascinating and complicated. Chris certaianly knows about buses! We are extremely grateful to Chris for his help, support and generosity in this photo initiative.
This Bus tour would never have got off the ground if it wasn’t for Dave’s wife Pat. Pat has spent many many hours on the net working out the route and getting bus times . She has worked daily to ensure the times are practicable and even built in convenience times.!! She has also worked out the time taken to walk between bus stops and maps to ensure us “Silly Old Sods” don’t get lost !! She won’t issue it yet as she will check the times all over again in January in case of bus time table changes. Dave and I would like to thank her for her support and for all her time that she has given up.
Don’t forget to look on the RNLI SOS web site ,there you will find what others are doing for the RNLI. We are also on their site. If you know of any other ways we can publicise our tour just let us know.
